Hi sorry that couldn't think of a better title for this thread but let me get to the point. We (The United Merchants of Guild Wars) would like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party. er i mean

guild wars guru party

Heres the deal: Although we are a reletivly small guild at the moment we have finally come up with the money to afford a guild hall and would like to invite everyone here at guild wars guru to a sort of party/fundraiser.

We plan on giving away free upgrade componants and other items during the party. Players can also participate in our live auctions and a special time for an open market. This party has been put together to strengthen our bond as a great gw forum (kinda corney i know) but most of all just have some fun and get to know each other better.

Heres the catch: This party won't work unless we have a lot of support from all of you (aka we need people to attend this or this won't work out well). We also hope that a few of you (loveable

) admins will decide to join us (I have a nice little plan to work with you guys to make this occasion very special). Since we are still a very small guild (6 players) at the moment we don't have a large cash pool (less than 50k) especially for being a merchant guild. We hope that through our special auctions and open market time during this event we will raise some money for the guild. Monitary and/or item donations are greatly appreciated (item will go up for auction in donater's name and item/monitary donatiors will be listed on our forums).

Date: 1/16/06 (US Holiday: Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

Time: 3:00 P.M CDT ( http://wwp.central-standard-time.com/ )<-find your time and go back an hour if youre on DST
NOTE- We will start inviting people into our hall at 2:00 GMT and stop inviting at 3:00 CDT. PM me if you come late and need an invite.
ALSO NOTE- This party will go on untill 9:00 PM CDT!!!

Place: PM either Tsunami Rain or Unholy Ultima (in game). One of us will be standing in Lions Arch International District 1 (if full then 2).

What To Do To Get In: Open trade with either Me (tsunami) or Unholy Ultima with 100 gold and we will invite you as a guest to our guild hall where the party will take place.
NOTE- we're sorry but we are too poor to afford to pay everyones way in

We are open to comments and sugestions (not flames) and if many of you insist on a reschedual we may move the date. This sounds like every frat party I ever went to in college. Cover charge at the door, free beer. I may just have to attend. Do you guys have enough items for the door prizes or do you need some more donations?

I'll be working that day, but it doesn't start until 9:00pm my time, so it's all good. I'll see if I can come up with anything suitable to donate...that I don't want to keep for myself.

sry: fixed the link to CST clock and stated that it will start at 3:00 PM (CST), I thought that the time in the link was GMT but it turned out it was CST. I will be going with CST (GMT -5:00)

Central Standard Time (CST) = GMT-6
Central Daylight Time (CDT) = GMT-5

Noticed your err when calculating what time it would be for me... late anyway

Wow, seems like every guild in town is having some sort of crazy $10,000 guild giveaway party these days...

As much as I would enjoy a little get together I no longer base my life around this game so I will most likely not make it... However I wish you good luck one small guild to another.
